Ochorowiczówka is the only one of the many villas built by Julian Ochorowicz that has survived to this day. This outstanding scientist and inventor came to Wisła in 1899, after divorcing his wife Maria. He then started building summer houses. Their rental or sale was to provide him with funds for further research, primarily in the field of psychology. This is how "Zofiówka", "Sokół", "Maya" and "Placówka" were created, named after Ochorowicz's friend, Bolesław Prus. At that time, "Wanda" was also built, a villa that Julian Ochorowicz gave to his cousin, the famous Warsaw actress Wanda Barszczewska.
