The Private Butterfly Museum in Władysławowo was opened in 2000 by Tomasz Falkiewicz. Its headquarters is in the Fisherman's House in the observation tower. The museum's collection includes over 3,000 butterflies and insects from all over the world, collected over two generations in one family. The exhibition includes over 70 entomological display cases with over 3,000 specimens: butterflies, beetles, bugs, phasmids, as well as spiders, scorpions and other arthropods. At the exhibition you can learn about the most interesting phenomena occurring in this amazing world of butterflies, full of colors and diversity of shapes. The oldest showcases and specimens on display date back to 1906 and have survived two world wars intact to this day. In addition to the entomological collections, you can also see a collection of coins, toys, souvenirs and traps related to "insect themes". For experts on the subject, there is an interactive test about butterflies and 6 short educational films about the life of butterflies to solve. There is a souvenir shop on site, of course related to insects.
