One of the newer attractions in Kołobrzeg are Mariana's seagulls. Their originator is Dariusz Jakubowski, a graphic artist from Kołobrzeg, and the author of the sculptures is Romuald Wiśniewski.
The name Marian comes from the originator's question about the name of a male seagull. Since he had trouble answering, Marian answered and it stayed that way.
The Kołobrzeg Marianas are unique because they have human attributes. They wear hats, jewelry, skateboard and take photos. I really like the idea and execution. I hope that over time, more of them will be created and they will become as famous as the Wrocław dwarves.
