Sports Stars Avenue in Wisła - an honorary avenue whose aim is to honor the best athletes associated with this city. This is one of the most important places in Wisła for sports fans, tourists and city residents.
The Sports Stars Avenue was established in 2002 and is located at 1 Maja Street, near the city center. It is the only avenue of this type in Poland. There are already 92 boards on the avenue with the names of famous athletes, both those who represented Wisła and other sports teams and clubs.
Among the athletes who were honored with plaques on the Sports Stars Walk, you can find many famous names, such as Zbigniew Boniek, Ryszard Kaczor, Adam Małysz and Irena Szewińska. Each of them achieved great successes in their discipline and contributed to the promotion of Polish sport around the world.
In the alley there is also a symbolic monument depicting an athlete running, which was designed by an artist from Krakow, Andrzej Stasiuk. The entire avenue was designed in such a way as to be a unique place for sports fans, where they can admire their idols and draw inspiration from them.
Sports Stars Avenue is a place not only for sports fans, but also for all residents and tourists who visit Wisła.
